Tulsa Talon Arena Football Tryout
Three Pure Speed athletes coached by Coach Mennem participated in the open tryout for the Tulsa Talons Arena 2 Pro Football tryout. Henry Hall, Kris Eklund, and Bryan Watson competed out of 35 men for 5 spots to the team training camp in the spring. Athletes who advance to training camp have a good chance of singing and making the roster for the 2007 season.
The Pure Speed athletes dominated the combine tests at the tryout with Hall winning all three tests, Eklund finishing in top 5 of each test, and Watson in the top 8.
After one on one drills Hall and Eklund were chosen to advance to training camp. Marking another landmark for Team Pure Speed.
10-30-06 Pure Speed has two intramural teams at Oklahoma State University. The men’s team was recently beat out of the playoffs but the co-ed team is still undefeated and has the number one spot in the playoffs.
